Do You Have Your Heart Set on a Mini Notebook Pc?

Ok, so you've seen the new mini notebook Pc and now you want one. How do you plan on using it? Well, lets look at it first. Right off the bat you have like the price tag. Colse to the holidays probably the cheapest one I saw was Colse to 0 maybe 0 and while that is substantially less than a full size notebook Pc, here we are a month and a half later and prices are falling by at least 0 maybe more. Other thing you might like about it is the small footprint. It may not fit in your pocket but the mini notebook Pc is considerably more portable than the full size notebook Pc. Score one for price. Score one for size. It has is all, right?

Well, lets look closer. You know that small size? The small size means a smaller cramped keyboard and a smaller screen to go with the smaller keyboard. There is no Cd-Rom (unless you want to pay extra), no hard drive (they have a solid state memory), and maybe a dissimilar operating system than what you're used to using. Do you still think it sounds like a good idea? Do you still want one? Maybe you do. If you're just interested in doing a wee web surfing at the local coffee shop or at the airport then just maybe. However, if you need it to do some hard core business applications you might not want one. In fact, depending on your needs, you may not even need a computer at all if all you're after is Internet access.

Cheapest Netbook

There are smaller economy alternatives for web surfing if that is your traditional use. Some media players have Wifi capabilities and today's smart cell phones or smart phones can achieve many of the tasks that were once reserved for its big brothers. Back in the second sentence I asked how you plan on using it. While the mini notebook Pc (or net book) looks like a fun toy, it may only be a toy if it doesn't suit your needs.

Notebook Or Netbook - What to Buy For 500 Dollars?

You might have noticed that netbooks are nearby and they're not going to go anytime soon. With their low price and their small size they request for retrial to many new customers and no wonder why; for the whole of money you can get a decent computer without having to deal with refurbished units.

It's a very common question, whether man should buy a netbook or a notebook for a given whole of money, and the allocation is also all the time tight. It may advantage the previous but the latter selection has its say as well once the limit is close to 0.

Cheapest Netbook

When the money you have available is near to the price of the average netbook, you don't of course have many options to choose from. For 0 or 0 there is no new notebook you can buy so it's a clear win for the minis, but once the game is up by a hundred, some value notebooks enter the field.

Value notebooks are almost all the time 15.6", 50% bigger in diameter than the average netbook. This can be whether a blessing or a curse, depending on your concept about the matter. Some population say they can't work on such a small screen; others would never change it for anything else. Unless you tried both for yourself, you can't rule between the two without being biased.

Cheap laptops are also often fitted with the cheapest components possible. Even though the Lcd panel is big it can be of low quality, or a strain on the eyes. When you go for this category, make sure that you opt for Led backlit panels that you've seen while operation.

Netbooks are popular for their battery time, 5 hours is the low end, Asus offers units that go for 12-14 hours on a particular charge. You have to look of course hard to see anything above 5 hours when it comes to laptop; in the price range of 0 you are very unlikely to find any. A more common sight is a less favorable 2 or 2.5 hours.

For 0 you can get a 1201N from Asus with dual core 1.66Ghz Atom processor and Nvidia Ion platform that offers a discrete video chip and 5 hours of uptime. This is more than sufficient all basic tasks most population come across, but if you of course need more horse power than that, make sure that you don't rule with the cheapest 15" you can find. You need at least a 1.8 - 2Ghz Core 2 Duo processor in the bigger one for it to worth giving the long battery time up.
